Spring is FINALLY here in good old Maine! We all have been busy with every day life activities along with our additions, such as yard work, chicken coop building, gardening and fun!
We have taken Colby's crib front off to make him a toddler bed. We figured that since Brian will not be able to lift due to surgery limitations, it would be better to transition Colby now! He loves his bed and likes when Brody gets into bed with him! He has been going to bed well for the most part and stayed in bed until we have came to get him!!
Two weekends ago was Easter and Colby had a good time opening his baskets, eating chocolate and playing with his new toys! Colby isn't hard to please! He could play with a bowl and spoon and be happy, but he does love his trucks, bats and balls!
Brian and I made Easter eggs with Colby and we ALL had a good time! We made our eggs into MONSTERS!! We added stickers and hair! They were all silly looking, but we enjoyed the family time and doing a project.
Our big project here at the Bailey House has been putting together the chicken coop so we can get them outside! Brian and I have spent hours looking at coop designs and building materials. We took a few designs we liked and made our own! Colby helped out A LOT and on Friday night they had pizza in the coop along with putting stickers on faces!!
On Saturday Brian and I took Colby to a open house for the Garden Center down the road from us. They had pony rides and animals for children to touch! Colby waited so patiently to ride the pony, and seemed to enjoy it! Brian was right by his side in case he wanted to get off, or fell! After the pony ride, we saw an owl, baby goat, ferret, bat and a snake! Colby wanted to touch the goat and the snake! He was then asked is he wanted to hold the snake on his shoulders, and Colby replied with...
Yes....
The three of us have been enjoying our crazy lives, and know that summer is just around the corner!!! To end this blog post, I have added a video of the next major league baseball player!!
